"Earth laughs in Flowers." Henry David Thoreau. Flowers have always played an important part in my personal narrative... My mother was an avid gardener and I've planted a few too. I grew up on three continents, enjoyed learning about the wide range of blooms unique to each continent, and I love the beautiful colors that flowers add to different terrain. I love water, nature, flora and fauna, and the magnificence of a landscape; including the vibrant colors and lifeforms that flow from that experience. Yet, I'm always drawn back to flowers; their placement in a landscape, their vibrant colors, the sensory and tactile delight of summer blooms, the smiles and happy memories they add to our lives. Recently, I took up photography as a way to capture people, places, things, and memories that matter to me. As an ardent traveler and amateur photographer, I hope to merge both into something special... someday.
